Graduate Credits
One (1) Graduate Credit (15 contact hours) is available for those wishing to receive graduate credit for this conference.
The cost is $125 and must be paid at the time of registration.

Continuing Education for Early Childhood Professionals
All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. Attendance of both days will worth 12 hours of state-approved continuing education for child development homes, center staff, & center directors.
C.D.A. Credits
If you are in the process of obtaining your CDA:
Attending both days of the conference is worth 12 clock hours toward the 120 hours you will need for your CDA credential.
Normally, participants may not use conference hours toward their C.D.A. training requirements.
Because of partnerships with Iowa Child Care Resource & Referral, the MVECEC Conference has obtained special permission from the Council for Professional Recognition that classes at our conference MAY qualify for C.D.A. training provided certain requirements are met.
1. You must first notify your CDA advisor that you plan to use these hours toward your your CDA program requirements.
2. Upon arrival at the conference, you must speak with C.J. Burroughs and sign in as a CDA Candidate.
3. After the conference, you will need to send

A copy of your receipt for conference enrollment
-- A copy of your certificate of attendence (to show which classes you attended)
-- Check or Money order for Postage Fee of $4.80 payable to M.V.E.C.E.C.
(Priority mail flat rate envelope, US Postal Service, Delivered 2-3 days.)
Upon verification,
you will be mailed individualized, printed, CCR&R certificates for the classes you attended.

4. Finally, present your CDA advisor with copies of your individualized, printed, CCR&R issued certificates. He or she will help you determine if the classes meet CDA requirements for content and professional development components.
If you are in the process of renewing your CDA:
Normally, participants may not use conference hours toward their C.D.A. training requirements.
You must pay for the GRADUATE CREDIT option.
The cost will be $120 (in addition to the conference registration fee.)
Upon completion of the conference, appropriate course work, and reflection paper, you will be issued 1.5 hours of graduate credit through Morningside college.
This will count as 1.5 hours toward the 4.5 Continuing Education Units you need to renew.
